Acceptable Use Policy

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Lychee AI Video Studio platform at lychee.video (the "Service") operated by Lychee Video Ltd ("Lychee," "we," "us," or "our").

This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP constitutes a material breach of the Terms of Service and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

We reserve the right to update this AUP at any time. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not use the Service to create, generate, upload, store, or distribute content that:

2.1 Illegal Content

  • Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Promotes, facilitates, or instructs in illegal activities
  • Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualized content involving minors
  • Constitutes, facilitates, or promotes terrorism or violent extremism

2.2 Harmful and Deceptive Content

  • Deepfakes and impersonation: content that depicts real individuals without their explicit consent, including synthetic media that impersonates real people for deception, fraud, defamation, or harassment
  • Misinformation and disinformation: deliberately false or misleading content designed to deceive, defraud, or manipulate public opinion, including but not limited to fake news, election interference content, and fabricated testimonials
  • Fraud and scams: content designed to defraud, phish, or deceive individuals or organizations
  • Harassment and bullying: content that threatens, intimidates, harasses, or bullies any individual or group
  • Hate speech: content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic

2.3 Explicit and Graphic Content

  • Pornographic, sexually explicit, or obscene material
  • Gratuitous violence, gore, or content that glorifies violence
  • Content depicting animal cruelty

2.4 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Content that infringes upon copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, or other intellectual property rights of third parties
  • Systematic reproduction of copyrighted works through prompt engineering
  • Content that removes, alters, or circumvents digital rights management or copyright notices

2.5 Privacy Violations

  • Content that discloses personal, private, or confidential information of others without authorization (doxxing)
  • Content created using personal data obtained without proper consent

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

3.1 Service Abuse

  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limiting, or other technical restrictions
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the Service without prior written authorization
  • Overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure, servers, or networks
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Service
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system without authorization

3.2 Reverse Engineering and Misuse

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service
  • Attempt to extract, replicate, or reconstruct any underlying AI models, algorithms, or training data
  • Use the Service to develop competing products or services
  • Systematically download or cache output from the Service for purposes of building datasets

3.3 Commercial Misuse

  • Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to unauthorized third parties
  • Use the Service to provide a competing video generation service (whether free or paid)
  • Share, publish, or distribute your account credentials
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or restrictions

3.4 Malicious Use

  • Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code through or in connection with the Service
  • Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited messages, or engage in phishing
  • Use the Service to generate content for social engineering attacks

4. Content Standards

All content created with the Service must:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdiction(s) where it will be used or distributed
  • Not mislead audiences about its AI-generated nature where disclosure is required by law
  • Include appropriate disclosures where required by advertising standards, industry regulations, or applicable law
  • Respect the intellectual property, privacy, and publicity rights of third parties

5. Monitoring and Enforcement

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor use of the Service for compliance with this AUP. We may, in our sole discretion:

5.1 Investigation

  • Investigate any suspected violation of this AUP
  • Review content created through the Service
  • Cooperate with law enforcement authorities and comply with court orders requesting or directing disclosure of information

5.2 Enforcement Actions

Depending on the severity and nature of the violation, we may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Warning: notify you of the violation and request corrective action
  • Content removal: remove or disable access to violating content
  • Feature restriction: limit your access to certain Service features
  • Temporary suspension: suspend your account for a specified period
  • Permanent termination: permanently terminate your account and access to the Service
  • Legal action: pursue legal remedies, including seeking injunctive relief or damages

We are not required to follow any particular sequence of enforcement actions and may take the most severe action immediately for egregious violations. We may also report any activity that we believe violates any law to appropriate authorities.

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to us immediately at founder@lychee.video. Please include:

  • A description of the violation
  • Any relevant URLs, screenshots, or identifying information
  • Your contact information

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Where possible, we will maintain the confidentiality of the reporter.
