It also explains your rights regarding your personal data under applicable laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy legislation.

When you create an account through Google OAuth, we collect:
- Email address
- Google account identifier (unique ID)
- Account creation timestamp
3.2 Content Data
When you use the Service, we collect and process the following content you provide or that is generated on your behalf:
- Text prompts and descriptions you submit for video creation
- Website URLs you provide for content extraction
- Brand assets, product images, and character reference images you upload
- Edits and modifications you make to scripts, narration, illustrations, and animations
- AI-generated content created in response to your inputs, including scripts, illustrations, voiceovers (audio files), animations, and assembled videos
- Project metadata such as selected visual style, language, duration, aspect ratio, and voice preferences
3.3 Usage and Technical Data
We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Device type and screen resolution
- Pages visited and features used within the Service
- Referring website
- Date and time of access
- Session duration

6. International Data Transfers

7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. Specifically:
- Account data: retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period after account deletion for legal and operational purposes
- Project and content data: retained as long as you maintain an active account; deleted projects are removed from our active database but may persist in backups for up to 90 days
- Generated files (voiceovers, illustrations, videos): retained in storage for the duration of the associated project; may persist in backups for up to 90 days after project deletion
- Usage and technical data: retained for up to 24 months for analytics and security purposes
- Newsletter data: retained until you unsubscribe
We may retain certain data for longer periods where required by law (e.g., for tax, accounting, or legal compliance) or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer identify you may be retained indefinitely for research and analytics purposes.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR (EEA/UK Residents)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights:

- Right to Delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing — we do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense; however, sharing data with AI providers for content generation may constitute "sharing" under CCPA. You may opt out by contacting us at founder@lychee.video
- Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
To exercise your rights, contact us at founder@lychee.video or submit a request through the email above. We will verify your identity before processing your request and respond within 45 days.
Categories of personal information collected (in the preceding 12 months): identifiers (email, IP address), internet or network activity (usage data), audio/visual information (uploaded assets, generated content), and inferences drawn from the above.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18 without appropriate authorization, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. 11. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
- Row-Level Security (RLS) enforced at the database level to ensure users can only access their own data
- HTTP-only cookies for secure session management
- Regular review of data collection, storage, and processing practices
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
12. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. We currently do not respond to DNT signals because there is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT. We will update this policy if a standard is established.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also provide additional notice (such as an email notification or in-app alert).
Your continued use of the Service after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
